Posted on July 17th, 2009 Mhirz III 1 comment

Now a days, everywhere I look I can see people have different tattoo in their body parts, some are large and even covers up their bodies, men and women. What does a person feels about having a tattoo? Is tattooing can boost their self confidence? Or is it an art form that they can boast as a sign of manhood. I saw different kinds of tattoos now a day, I mean different kinds of designs and images, and some are weird and funny looking and the kind of stuffs. Sometimes I plan of getting a tattoo, an average one for the first time, I look a tattoo very cool. Because it explains who I am, I want the images costumed by me, I’m an artist. But is tattooing safe? I know having a tattoo is visible and permanent in my body system. What are the things to consider?

Here are some things to consider when planning a tattoo:

    • The mind should be set: In this kind of activity, we know that tattoo is always permanent, there is a way of removing a tattoo, but hopefully you can endure the pain, also in tattooing there will be always a great pain. The mind should be set that you want to be tattooed.

    • Research a Tattoo shop: Around your neighbor you can find different tattoo shops, which differ on their forte of tattooing, if you have picked where shop to be tattooed, you must consider things like, is that shop known or licensed? Is that shop always clean and sanitize always? Are the tattoo artists, trustworthy? Are they able to give you tips to follow? Are they responsible? Are they using sanitize instruments? So many things to consider in a tattoo shop whom responsible on your tattoo.

    • Educate yourself: be responsible, follow instructions from your tattoo artist, Follow rules, and learn the aftercare techniques and the potential complications. Consider something that you cannot do like blood transfusions, and it may also interfere with a proper medical test like for examples are MRI’s.

    • Trial and error: In this way, you can try it in yourself, I’m not saying that you can get tattooed immediately, I mean you try it in airbrush or a henna tattoo, In this way, you can have the reactions of the people around you, your family and friends, get their feedbacks and comments, this can help you in setting your mind.

    • Enjoy your Tattoo.

That’s it dude, in summary, in able to get your desired tattoo, you should consider some facts that can help you. Isn’t that great if you have a tattoo that you can boast to some of your friends and definitely a tattoo that can boost your self confidence.

    Thanks, Adrianne Merykha

  • Egyptian Tattoo

Egyptian tattoos, like many other tattoo designs from mythology or ancient cultures, are growing in popularity. It’s all a part of the modern conception of tattoos – no longer limited to gang members, sailors or members of an underworld subculture, tattoos are going main stream. They are tasteful, socially acceptable, and a great way of exploring and utilizing art imagery from all over the world. Egyptian tattoos are beautiful and striking images from the ancient past.

Modern Egyptian tattoos consist of images that are taken from ancient Egyptian art, preserved as components of the pyramids and other structures. Ankh tattoos, for example, consist of an ancient symbol that’s imbued with magical protection.

  • Hawaiian Tattoo

Hawaiian Tattoo was an important feature of the Hawaiian culture, like somewhere on the Polynesian islands. The Hawaiians even have tattoo gods and each time a member of the community gets a tattoo, prayers had to be done in the temple.

Hawaiian tribal tattoo art, known as Kakau, has been practiced for thousands of years and for a variety of purposes:

    • Personal identification: unlike other Polynesian tattoo styles, Hawaiian tattoos are used for personal identification (instead of ceremonial purposes).
    • Talisman: tattoos were believed to offer protection.
    • As a symbol of mourning for a loved one.
    • Adornment

The Hawaiian tribal tattoos were mostly black; the tattoo ink was made of a mixture of kukui nuts and sugarcane juice.

  • Tattoo Education

Mostly tattoo artist learn how to tattoo not only on school of tattooing or some career on tattooing, but mostly artist learn how to tattoo in their own creative way. Tattooing is available a way back of time, and education is not yet available at these time. My point is tattooing are always about the passion for arts, beauty, and creativity.

Now a day, education first for tattoo artist is a must, not like the old days tattoo artists tattooed a person without sanitizing the instruments, they use combs, and other different sharp object that can puncture the skin and include ink on it, and perform the tattoo right away. This is why education is important now for tattoo, in this way they can orient artist in how to tattoo? Where is the right place to tattoo? And when is the right time to perform. Timing is important; an artist should consider the weather because this can affect the tattooed skin. Place is also an important matter, is the place clean? The tattoo area should be always clean and well sanitized. And lastly, an artist must know the right tattoo procedure; first thing first, ready the instruments and wiping the skin area with alcohol or aspirate the skin with alcohol, it should be dry when finished; applying numbing cream are also important to help reduce the pain; the design must be in stencil and predesigned to minimize delay, the design must adjust with the curves of the skin area for best result; and lastly, enjoy tattooing.

That’s it a tattoo artist must know.
